Being awarded an NSF GRFP is one of the most prestigious honors that a young academic can receive. To receive one, students in STEM and social science disciplines submit an application that includes two statements: a personal statement and a research plan. While all the components of the application are essential, it is these statements that readers heavily rely on to select deserving applicants. This is why it is essential that all students applying for the GRFP understand what is expected to include in these documents in terms of content and style.

Please join us for a NSF GRFP workshop where the university's Graduate Writing Specialist will walk participants through what makes a successful statement.
