As part of OISS's International Education Week, come learn about international perspectives on embodied consciousness on November 16th and learn hands-on, practical tools for reversing the tendency to ignore our body's basic signals.
As part of OISS's International Education Week, come join Veronica Franco and Julia McClenon for a hands-on, practical workshop addressing international perspectives on embodied consciousness.
In this workshop for international students and postdocs, facilitators will discuss how society and our unique cultural experiences may teach us to ignore our body's basic signals such as hunger, tiredness, thirst, need for play, and desire to move, and how this harms our overall wellness.
To reverse this mind-over-matter paradigm, we'll discuss how to begin "de-programming" by listening to the body through hands-on practices, discussing how culture shock has an impact on the body and mind, and exploring the power of the body and the connection it has with our well-being.
This is an embodied consciousness series featuring one workshop per quarter throughout the school year. Join for one or all three workshops!
