The Academic Senate is now accepting applications on a first-come, first-serve basis for the 2018-19 Doctoral Student Travel Grant. Applicants must be doctoral students and have advanced to candidacy, or if Master of Fine Arts students, must be in their second year and be in candidacy prior to travel. Applications will be pooled based on travel period and then by division or school.

The American Heart Association is now accepting applications for their one-two year Predoctoral Fellowship, which is open to an array of aspiring academic and health professionals in disciplines such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, technology, physics, etc. who aim to improve global cardiovascular health. Application deadline is July 11, 2018.

The National Geographic Society currently offers three types of grant applications—Early Career, Exploration, and Requests for Proposals. Projects should align to one of their three focus areas: Wildlife, Human Journey, and Changing Planet. Deadline is July 10, 2018.

The Simons Foundation invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships to support research on fundamental problems in marine microbial ecology. The award is for three years, contingent upon satisfactory annual progress reports, and will include an annual stipend of $62,000 and an annual allowance of up to $25,000. Deadline to apply is June 15, 2018.

The Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship Program supports dissertations students for research abroad from 6-12 months in: Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, South Asia, the Near East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere (excluding the United States and its territories). Deadline to apply is July 2, 2018.

SENS Research Foundation (SRF) is inviting recent PhD graduates and postdoctoral fellows to submit proposals for a fellowship at their Research Center in Mountain View, California. Letter of Intent (LOI) to apply is due on August 6, 2018. Must have PhD or equivalent, and visa support can be provided to international applicants.
