Getting a good microbrew in Goleta is getting easier and easier. So if you don’t fancy that super "long" drive to downtown Santa Barbara for a brew, then try one of the four microbreweries close to campus.
Getting a good microbrew in Goleta âis getting easier and easier. So if you don't fancy âthat super "long" drive to downtown Santa Barbara for a brew, then try one of the four microbreweries close to campus. And don't forget âto bring the kids (âanyone's kids if you don't have your own) because some of the tasting rooms have kids toys or playrooms.
Captain Fatty's: The first microbrewery tasting room in Goleta. Kids play area. Open Wednesday-Friday 3:30-9 âp.m., Saturday noon-10 âp.m., and Sunday noon-8 p.m. Located at 6483 Calle Real, Unit D. Check site for visiting food trucks.

Hollister: Technically a brewpub and not a microbrewery since they serve food, âbut it's âyour best bet for happy-hour prices. âHappy hour between 2-6 p.m. on weekdays, with $3 pints. On Mondays, pints are $3 from 2 p.m. to close. Located in Calle Real Marketplace.
M. Special: Has a great patio outside with games and a great bar inside with TVs. Open everyday from 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Located in the business park across the road from K-Mart, 6860 Cortona Drive, Suite C. Check site for visiting food trucks.
