The Dixon-Levy Service Award will be given to outstanding members of the university community who have unselfishly devoted themselves to the improvement of graduate student life. Contributions to graduate life should extend beyond what is deemed appropriate to everyday work or civic service responsibilities. All graduate students, undergraduates, administration, faculty, and staff are eligible to be nominated. However, GSA-elected officers are not eligible to be honored for their work for GSA.

The GSA Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes the contributions of graduate students who have shown excellence and gone above and beyond in their roles as TAs at UC Santa Barbara. Anyone in the UCSB campus community can nominate a teaching assistant or associate for this award.

Nominations are accepted for the following four categories:

  • Lecturers and Teaching Associates (All disciplines)
  • Teaching Assistants (Humanities and Fine Arts)
  • Teaching Assistants (Social Sciences)
  • Teaching Assistants (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)

To be eligible, a Teaching Assistant or Teaching Associate must have taught at least one quarter during Spring quarter of the previous academic and Winter quarter of the current academic year. Former winners of the award are not eligible.

Deadline: Friday, March 16th, 11:59 p.m.
