The Office of the President is recruiting for the 2020-2021 UC Title IX Student Advisory Board (SAB). The SAB’s mission is to elevate UC student voices in the pursuit of these prevention and response efforts. The spot for the UCSB Graduate Student Representative will be vacant for the 2020-2021 school year. Read on for more info and to apply by May 29th (tomorrow!).

The Office of the President is recruiting for the 2020-2021 UC Title IX Student Advisory Board (SAB). The spot for the UCSB Graduate Student Representative for the 2020-2021 school year is currently vacant and seeking applicants.

The SAB advises and provides feedback to the UC Systemwide Title IX Office and the UC Office of the President (UCOP) on the University's ongoing work to effectively prevent and respond to sexual harassment, including sexual violence. SAB members may also inform students about developments of importance to them. The SAB's mission is to elevate UC student voices in the pursuit of these prevention and response efforts.

A selection committee comprised of student leaders and UCOP representatives will review all applications based on the following criteria:

-Knowledge and interest in the area of Title IX and sexual harassment prevention and response

-Willingness and ability to collaborate with colleagues in UCOP, the campus Title IX Office and the campus CARE Office

-Understanding of the overall landscape of their campus and the ability to think broadly and represent students of diverse backgrounds and perspectives

-Availability to serve on the board and participate in board meetings, monthly conference calls, and other calls as needed.
