The ONDAS Student Center is currently recruiting graduate students to participate in "Thriving, Not Surviving: Navigating Higher Education as a First-Generation College Student." This panel discussion and mixer on first-generation college students' experiences will be held on August 30. Graduate Students who participate as a Panelist and/or Mentor Mixer at the event will be compensated.
The ONDAS Student Center is currently recruiting graduate students to participate in "Thriving, Not Surviving: Navigating Higher Education as a First-Generation College Student." This panel discussion and mixer on first-generation college students' experiences will be held on Wednesday, August 30 from 4:30-6:30pm in the Loma Pelona Center, Room 1108. Dinner will be served!
ONDAS is still seeking graduate students to serve on the panel. They are seeking graduate students who are:
- first-generation scholars;
- members of an under-represented community;
- experienced in working with first-generation college students; OR
- genuinely interested in mentoring and talking to undergraduates about the university experience,
Graduate Students who participate as a Panelist and/or Mentor Mixer at the event will be compensated. Interested participants should reach out to Caitlin Ng (caitlinng@ucsb.edu) ASAP.
