Bryan Stevenson UCSB/Santa Barbara Reads and UCSB Arts & Lectures presents Bryan Stevenson, an award-winning human rights attorney and author of "Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption," on April 18 at 8 p.m. at UCSB Campbell Hall.

Bryan Stevenson has dedicated his life's work aiding and advocating for the poor, people of color, and incarcerated individuals. Stevenson is the founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, a non-profit organization that defends juvenile offenders, prisoners on death row, prisoners who have been wrongly convicted, and have experienced racial bias in the justice system. His recent award-winning work, "Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption," highlights the racial inequality that exists in the U.S. Join us for a night of moving tales and a call for justice and compassion.
