Have you ever seen an academic position asking for a diversity statement as part of the application processâ? It's becoming more and more common. But what is it and how do you write one?
The Graduate Student Resource Center is hosting a workshop on writing aâ diversity statement for an academic position on Wednesday, April 20. In this workshop, we will look at some examples and learn what you should include when writing your own.
The workshop is open to all UCSB graduate students and postdocs, but enrollment is limited to 15 per workshop, so please RSVP.
If you wish to have feedback on diversity statement you have written, please bring at least two copies for individual and peer feedback, or have a copy on your computer to read.

Place: Student Resource Building, Room 2154
Food: Snack materials will be provided for your hunger needs.
