Panelists for this event include:

- Reginald Daniel, Department of Sociology
- Howard Giles, Department of Communication
- Ruth Hellier-Tinoco, Department of Music
- Miroslava Chavez-Garcia, Department of Chicana/o Studies, will moderate the discussion.
The panel will uncover the "mysteries" of what it takes to publish an article in an academic journal, including addressing the do's and don'ts of the process. They will also offer concrete tips on how to approach journals and editors, to tailor an essay for a specific audience, and to respond to reviewers. The panel is highly recommended for those interested in publishing academic essays in journals, edited book collections, or similar venues.
