The Graduate Student Resource Center is hosting a workshop on writing a diversity statement for an academic position. The workshop is open to all UCSB graduate students and postdocs.
âDoes your academic job ad âask for a diversity statement? âDiversity statements are becoming more and more common in the application process. But what is âit and how do you write one?
The Graduate Student Resource Center âwill host a workshop âto answer âthese and other rhetorical questions.
In this workshop, you will look at âdiversity statement examples and learn what you should include when writing your own. The workshop is open to all UCSB graduate students and postdocs, but enrollment is limited to 15 per workshop, so please RSVP.
If you âhaâve a diversity statement and would like some feedback, please bring at least two copies for individual and peer feedback, or have a copy on your computer to read.
