Virginia Tech has launched a new Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship program that will prepare postdocs for the next step in their careers, providing a two-year appointment with nationally competitive salaries and benefits. There are three proposal review cycles in 2022, with proposals due for review May 15, July 15, and Nov. 15. Read on for more info!

The UCSB Library will be offering two Zotero Basics workshops for graduate students during the Spring quarter. Zotero is a free bibliography management tool that helps you collect citations for your research and generate entries for notes and bibliographies. Workshops will be held in the UCSB Library. The University of California Global Health Institute (UCGHI) is seeking applicants for the 2022-2023 Student Ambassador Program. UCGHI Student Ambassadors will develop, organize, and promote Women's Health, Gender, and Empowerment (WHGE) or Planetary Health (PH) activities across campuses. Students will receive a $250 stipend for participating, at the end of the program.

Join the IHC's research focus group "What is a Shakespeare: Shakespeare and Global Media" for an event on Friday, April 15 from 4-5:30pm: "Bolstering the Bard: Pedagogy and Performance Beyond UCSB." An invited panel of knowledgeable actors, directors, dramaturgs, and educators will discuss experiences in conveying Shakespearean material to students and/or audiences with varying degrees of knowledge of the Bard. Join the Resource Center Gender and Sexual Diversity (RCGSD) for their upcoming event, "LGBTQ+ Graduate Student Career Panel: Working at the University," which will be held on April 12, 2022 from 3:30-4:30pm. This panel is for LGBTQ+ graduate students across all disciplines who are considering careers within the university and outside of traditional professor roles.
