UCSB graduate students, postdocs, and recent alumni can now register for Beyond Academia 2022 panels and workshops on Shoreline! This week-long conference will run from April 11-16. The Beyond Academia conference, organized by a team of UCSB grads, provides opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to learn about career options alongside and outside of academia.

Winter quarter is near its end, which means the CSEP-PDS team is starting to plan for the Spring. They would like to include you in this process, to help ensure that they can deliver content and workshops that you desire. The team has created a short survey which will help them better understand your preferences. Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a free book raffle.

Beyond the Professoriate is offering a free webinar: "Leaving academia? Here's what you need to prepare." All graduate students and PhDs are invited to join L. Maren Wood, PhD (Founder of Beyond the Professoriate) for this interactive webinar so that you can be confident in your decision and knowledgeable about the steps you need to take. This month's webinar will run on March 25 at 9am.

3M will be hosting Raising Influence in Science and Engineering (RISE) a virtual conference from June 13-15, 2022. RISE is primarily intended to introduce emerging female and/or underrepresented science and engineering graduate talent to the wide range of rewarding careers in research and development at one of the world’s most recognized innovation companies.
