Attend UC Global Health Day 2022 on Saturday, May 7 from 8:30am – 6pm PT (in-person and virtually). This day-long collaborative global health conference showcases innovative research and initiatives occurring across the University of California. This year’s theme of Centering Social Justice in Community Health is exemplified by diverse speakers who are actively engaged across a variety of disciplines and doing work that has benefited communities at local and global levels. Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education is seeking graduate students to share their experiences with graduate programming and services in virtual listening sessions. All selected participants will receive a $25 gift card to the University Book Store. Read on for more information.

The Mental Health Peers, in collaboration with the GSRC, are offering a virtual workshop on April 19 from 2-3pm: "Graduate School: Unpacking the Realities of Being a Graduate Student." The seminar will focus on helping students unpack the multiple roles they navigate within their graduate programs.

UCSB Health and Wellness has opened the Rejuvenation Station for graduate students, where you can get a free massage from a massage therapist! The Station is open on Thursdays from 2-3pm in the Wellness Center Conference Room, in the SRB.

The Graduate Student Association is teaming up with the Office of Development to host a coffee and donut event for UCSB Give Day on April 7 from 8-10am. Drop in to the GSA lounge (2502 University Center MC 6052) for free coffee and donuts, and also to write a short thank-you note for donors who have supported graduate fellowships.

UCSB Health and Wellness is hosting "36 Questions to Make Friends" from 6-7pm on April 13th at San Clemente Center. "36 questions for closeness" is a scientific test question and answer practice that promotes closeness and intimacy. Come solo or come with a buddy! Free snacks! Read on for more info.

2022 Grammy Award-winning violinist Jennifer Koh and bass-baritone Davóne Tines, are the co-creators of Everything Rises, a new work commissioned by UCSB Arts & Lectures that has its World Premiere Performance Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. at UCSB Campbell Hall. The UCSB Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies and the UCSB IHC Research Focus Group “What Is a Shakespeare?: Shakespeare and Global Media” are collaborating to host a virtual conference: "Global Snapshot: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Media, Performativity, and Global Communities." The conference features Keynote Speakers Dr. Peter Eckersall and Dr. Ambereen Dadabhoy, and will run on May 14 and 15. Abstracts are due April 1.
