Join fellow grad students on June 8 for an interdisciplinary art and science event that examines oceanography through the lens of art. The event will showcase the music, art, and film created during the cruise, manifested as a documentary and magazine, as well as provide a spotlight for local artists who share their passion for the marine world.

Join the UCSB Library for a talk by Johanna Drucker, a Breslaur Professor of Bibliographical Studies in the Department of Information Studies at UCLA. Dr. Drucker's talk will assess the challenges of appropriating visualization methods from natural and statistical sciences for use in digital humanities, and will outline a set of proposals for alternatives.

Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) will assemble a diverse group of 20-25 leading change agents, aged 32-45, from around the world to participate in its unique seven-week program. Fellows represent all professional sectors and hail from any number of careers, from journalism to the military to higher education to private corporations to the theater and beyond. Application deadline is June 15, 2018.
