Calfresh is a federally funded nutrition assistance program that provides students with up to $194 per month in food benefits (that's $2,328 per year!). About 8,000 students at UCSB are eligible for Calfresh, but many do not know about it or do not know where to find help. All students (including graduate students) will now be able to indicate their pronouns in GOLD and other university systems. This comes after a long time effort from UCSB's Trans Taskforce, which has been advocating for more gender-inclusive policies on campus.

The Undergraduate Division is seeking graduate students who identify as allies ​or as first-generation students to connect, discuss, or present for their incoming first-generation undergraduate students and act as a First-Gen Mentor at the First-Gen Welcome event on Wednesday, September 25.
