Registration is now open for the Central Coast Sustainability Summit, which will run from 8am-5pm on October 18 in UCSB's Corwin Pavilion. At this year’s summit, keynote speakers will inspire agencies and thought leaders to create a shared vision and accountability for sustainability efforts in California’s central coast. The theme for this year’s summit is Decarbonizing to meet the Climate Challenge.

Applications are currently being accepted for a Professional development for Emerging Education Researchers (PEER) field school in Chicago, December 14-17. This intensive in-person PEER field schools gives opportunities for faculty, postdocs, and graduate students in STEM disciplines to develop their own educational research practice. Scholarships are available. Apply by October 13.

The organizing committee is seeking nominations for students to be considered for the 22nd annual St. Jude Children's Research Hospital National Graduate Student Symposium (NGSS) and the 9th annual Future Fellow Research Conference (FFRC). The NGSS and FFRC are all-expenses-paid symposia to which top Ph.D. students from around the country are invited to participate. Faculty nominations are due by October 16.

South Orange County Community College District's (SOCCCD) Faculty Internship Program, known as Building Leadership Opportunities through Outstanding Mentorship (B.L.O.O.M.), is now accepting applications for its Spring 2024 program. The intent of the B.L.O.O.M. program is to increase the diversity pipeline of future community college faculty within SOCCCD and/or other California Community Colleges. Appliations due October 16.
