Join the IHC's research focus group "What is a Shakespeare: Shakespeare and Global Media" for an event on Friday, April 15 from 4-5:30pm: "Bolstering the Bard: Pedagogy and Performance Beyond UCSB." An invited panel of knowledgeable actors, directors, dramaturgs, and educators will discuss experiences in conveying Shakespearean material to students and/or audiences with varying degrees of knowledge of the Bard. The Graduate Student Association is teaming up with the Office of Development to host a coffee and donut event for UCSB Give Day on April 7 from 8-10am. Drop in to the GSA lounge (2502 University Center MC 6052) for free coffee and donuts, and also to write a short thank-you note for donors who have supported graduate fellowships.

2022 Grammy Award-winning violinist Jennifer Koh and bass-baritone Davóne Tines, are the co-creators of Everything Rises, a new work commissioned by UCSB Arts & Lectures that has its World Premiere Performance Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. at UCSB Campbell Hall. UC-National Laboratory In-Residence Graduate Fellowships are 3-year training and dissertation awards to support unique training opportunities at the national laboratories for UC graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, preparing them for careers in science and national security at the national labs, in academia, and in industry. Deadline for submitting a Letter of Intent is June 2, 2022.
