The Ventura College Faculty Diversity Internship Program is now accepting applications from STEM students. This is a great opportunity to learn about teaching at a community college. Join the Multicultural Center on Nov 9 for a screening of Bakosó: Afrobeats of Cuba. Bakosó is a groundbreaking documentary that weaves the story of Cuban DJ and Producer Isnay Rodriguez, also known as DJ Jigüe, and the creation of an entirely new genre. There will also be a post-screening Q&A with Dj Jigüe, Producer/Director Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi, and Co-Producer Kahlil Jacobs-Fantauzzi.

Learn more about the value of participating in Grad Slam as a SHEF student by joining us for this workshop on Friday, November 4 from 1-2:30pm. You will hear from a roundtable of faculty members who have served as Grad Slam judges in the past, who will discuss what it takes to create an effective narrative-driven short talk. You'll also have the chance for hands-on workshopping of your own potential Grad Slam talk.
